Trip to Perth (Day 3): Fremantle

Next day- Fremantle! We picked up our rental car and drove there- it was pretty straightforward.

We visited the Shipwreck Galleries, and had a super yummy lunch at Little Creatures Brewery. We took a leisurely stroll around the fishing boat harbour, enjoying the chilly sea breeze.

We also popped into the Fremantle Markets to take a quick look. Nothing there really tickled my fancy.

We had the yummiest beef steak at my cousin's place, cooked by my aunt. It was delicious- so tender and flavourful.

Trip to Perth (Day 2): Kings Park

We spent the better part of our second day at beautiful Kings Park. The weather was gorgeous and the scenery and flora was breathtaking. Watching folks stretched out on the grass and basking in the sunshine- the thought of moving to Perth actually crossed my mind.

We had so much fun strolling in the park, learning more about the plants and catching Pokemon- looking out for the elusive Kangaskhan. I managed to catch one just as we were leaving the park- yay!

In the evening we had a lovely Italian dinner with my cousins and their families. It was really nice to catch up and to see everyone again!

Trip to Perth (Day 1): Touchdown and Elizabeth Quay

Off to Perth- wheeeee!!!

We took a late night flight and arrived early in the morning- not an easy flight at all, especially when one can't sleep- like me! :( 

Thank God we had the option of crashing at my cousin's place for a while- we had a yummy breakfast and were able to get some much-needed rest for a couple of hours. Don't know how we would have managed otherwise!

After that, we checked in, got some more rest and headed out to dinner in the evening. Destination- Elizabeth Quay. We ate at the Lucky Shag (food was yummy) and then took a pleasant stroll around the quay area.

Tiring day indeed- more adventures to come!

Bangkok work trip

Bangkok for work- again! I am fond of the city, of course- lots to buy and the food is amazing. Hehe. This time I stayed at the W Bangkok- an uber cool hotel. Really nice with a lot of character (and a lobby that felt more like a bar)!

Managed to FINALLY visit Asiatique this time. Nice atmosphere, although it was of course very touristy....

Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm! It is absolutely CRAZY! People are walking on the streets and driving around trying to catch Pokemon and spin Pokestops. It's like the world has gone bananas...

I have to say it is a really cool game. Look at the tech- you can catch the Pokemon with the Augmented Reality function on or off. Makes for some crazy photos!

This game encourages people to get up and walk around as well- time for some physical activity! Check out the players hanging out in parks! Woah....have you seen anything like it??

Meanwhile, excuse me while I am off to catch more Pokemon!

MHWH Night Run

I went for the 5km night run with hubby, my Mum and my Dad. My parents finished the route faster than I did... *shy* Really must improve my level of fitness...Sigh.

I was asked to give away the prizes, so I had to stay until late at night. Overall, a relatively nice event- it wasn't perfect though, of course. There were definitely areas for improvement.

Singapore July 2016: Day 3

We took a long walk by the river the next day, starting from the Fullerton/Esplanade side, and all the way round to the Marina Bay Sands area. It was a lovely walk- although we got caught in a rainstorm. Check out the lovely photos below.

The Marina Bay Shoppes is a big shopping mall with a classy interior and a fabulous river view. We had lunch at the Super Heroes Cafe- food is cute, but not great (as one would expect of these places).

Next up was the ArtScience Museum- which had a fantastic exhibition called Future World: Where Art Meets Science. The kids had a whale of a time there! There was this activity where we could colour in 2D pictures, scan them, and they would appear in a 'town' in a form of 3D animated objects. Think cars, planes and buildings- way too cool! Every now and then a dragon would appear in the town, and you could touch the planes and make them fire at the dragon! It was really awesome! Highly recommended for families.

We watched a (free) light and water display in the evening- it was captivating indeed. I mean, how does one even project on a 'screen' of water?!? Mind-boggling technology, eh?

Singapore July 2016: Day 2

We spent most of our next day in Universal Studios Singapore, again. It was nice to be able to repeat some of the rides and do the things we missed out on the fist day.

The kids had a wet and wild time running though this water fountain- splashing about in the hot sun. Wished I could join them! (But it would have been waaaay too weird...)
