Sekinchan Trip - October 2017

We finally made a trip to Sekinchan - check out the photos below! It was quite fun and there was more to do then I expected, which was good, of course.

Hope to return someday when the paddy fields are gold in colour instead 😉

Real-life Kingler? Haha!

Happy 7th birthday to our little girl!

In a blink of an eye, our little is now 7 years old! How time has flown by. Sigh.

Just sharing a photo of a mini treasure hunt we did for the kids at home- simple but fun! Haha 😊

We love you, darling... may God watch over you always 💖

David Beckham!

The photo says it all. What a crazy few days with David Beckham in town for AIA Vitality events. Am a bit sad I didn't even get to take a photo with him... but oh well 😔

Church 60th anniversary

So much fun (and hard work) at the carnival in celebration of our church's 60th anniversary! What a great way to celebrate God's faithfulness and goodness indeed.

Our cool Trypops!

So fun!

Bangkok - June 2017

Bangkok with the kids - first time ever! MIL came with us as well. We had so much fun!

Ancient City Muang Boran - this is a really cool open-air museum with more than 120 replicas of famous monuments from different regions across Thailand. We got around in a rented golf cart- which we allowed the boy to drive in short stretches (shhh) - and it was so much fun, although it was very very very hot!

Erawan Museum

Bangkok is one destination that is definitely worth a repeat trip (or repeated trips...)! Oh, and we introduced the kids to the awesome desserts in After You 😊

Pangkor Laut - Merriment and Mishap

A work trip to Pangkor Laut Resort- HOW COOL IS THAT?!?

What a beautiful place, as you can see from the gorgeous photos below. Really hope to be able to bring the family here one day.

So beautiful!

Hornbills on my balcony

What's this about a mishap, then? Well, I guess I shouldn't have mucked around doing wall sits in the afternoon. My legs were probably a bit wobbly in the evening, and with all the merriment going on- music, wine and dancing... I really don't know what happened. Suddenly my right knee gave way, I heard a crack and then I landed on the floor! OMG. I was in a lot of pain, but my karaoke song was up next and I braved through the song nevertheless.

I really couldn't continue with the fun after that though- the pain was too much to bear and my colleagues helped me back to my chalet. My knee had swollen up by then and I needed ice, etc. Thank God I had a doctor colleague there.

I had to leave earlier the next day to get back to KL, given my injury. I hitched a ride with the big boss- very grateful for that.

Went to the hospital the next day; the diagnosis- a dislocated patella 😭😭

Jalan-jalan: Petaling Street, Central Market

It has been a while since we played tourist where we live. Check out our photos below. Quite a fun experience!

Coconuts are really multi-purpose! These bags further below are quite unique- eh?

The kids had fun doing some batik painting as well. They didn't get to try the waxing though- just the painting bit.

KL Upside Down House

I wonder how many people know about this attraction in KL. We decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had posing! Getting good photos do take some skill though- for both model and photographer. Haha!

Wine & Dine Dinner

Thanks to our dear CG member, we scored an invitation to a lovely wine and dine dinner at Oversea PJ. Chinese food and wine? It IS a thing, really. I am not a wine expert- so I can't really comment on the wines- but the food was yummy, and I have to say the wines went well with the different courses.

What a fun night with our CG members!

SpongeBob Run!

This was our first run together as a family. The theme looked promising enough, and the T-shirts were certainly very cool! Haha.

We waited wayyyy too long for the run to start though, which meant it was really hot when we finally got moving. This was a 3km run- and the kids struggled (as did I :p). Hopefully this will not deter us from doing more family fun runs together!

Super cute stuff from the run

Petrosains

It has been a while since we visited Petrosains. The kids had fun- although I think the exhibits were largely the same. Hmmm.

Better for the kids now, as they are older and have better understanding of things. But I don't think we will be back for a while....or ever?

La Juiceria

So we finally had a meal here. It was surprisingly yummy, and yes- it felt relatively healthy!

The juices were delicious as well- even the ones with lots of vegetables in them. I think we will be seeing more of La Juiceria....

Nasi Lemak Wrap!

Yummy!

Work trip to Hong Kong (Feb 2017)

I was back again in HK for work, in Feb 2017. I decided to go over the weekend to hang out with my dear friend, R- and as you can see from these photos below, we had a whale of a time! We were being absolutely ridiculous at the Line Friends Store- it was so much fun! Haha.

Hahaha!

Guess what these are? Kitchen sponges!

We also tried this dim sum place that served 'cute' dim sum. Yummy!

'Vomiting' dim sum- this was hilarious!

Errr... these are not condoms....

It was good to be able to spend some quality time with R- catching up and praying for each other. I absolutely love that girl. Wished we lived closer to each other...

Moved to Hotel Indigo in preparation for the work phase of my trip to start- nice hotel

I also managed to catch dinner with Y, another dear friend from my university days. We had a lovely Spanish dinner, and we had a good time catching up.

Always nice to come to HK!
